Before installing, please do one of the following:
1. Quit any image-editing programs (i.e. PhotoShop, PhotoDeluxe, etc.) if you are currently using one.
2. Install Photoshop or other image-editing progam first if you have not yet installed it. After installation, choose the Get Info command from the File menu to set the Photoshop "Minimum size" and "Preferred size" to at least 8 Mega bytes.
3. If you have installed PageManager, a copy of the VistaScan Plug-ins driver will be automatically placed in the PageManager Plug-ins folder.
4. If you want to install Network driver, Select it from the Custom item. To use the UMAX scanner as a remote scanner over a network, AppleTalk must be active. Remove 'UMAXShare' file from the Extension folder if you have serious problems using a remote scanner through network. You have to change all 'UMAXShare' file on other Mac Machines if you want to use a remote scanner through network.
